A hundred years ago, this location was the perifery where a new modern quarter was arising to meet the requirements for up-to-date living.
As the time has passed, this location grew to become the wider city center that has kept its character of the blocks with patio.
This is also the case of the block bound by the Vajnorska street, Pri starej pracharni street, Kalinciakova street and Druzstevna street. The block features a patio with private quite park, children playground, petanque, basketball court, garden house and benches. The gated patio is not accessible for unauthorized public. The yard is also used for private parking.
The block's roofs and in-yard facade has been gradually reconstructed. In surrounding, revitalizing of the former cycling stadium is planned for 2015. The National futball stadium is under construction on the Tehelne pole.
Accesibility is the great advantage: a main tram/bus/troleybus change station is located on the Trnavske myto and takes a 5 minutes walk. From there, the tram takes 10 minutes to the center, but you can also cover that distance by a 25 minutes walk. The bus will take you to the Central train station in 10 minutes, the same to the Mlynske nivy bus station. A direct line will get you to the Bratislava airport or Avion shopping center or Zlate piesky shopping center. On-street parking is easy even without the planed residential parking zone. The taxi to the center is about 4-5 EUR.
The shopping center Central is a 5 minutes walk and features a variety of shops (e.g. Billa) including a gym and swimming pool. There is a Lidl shop located in the Istropolis center, not more that 5 minutes walk. The shopping center Polus is a 15 minutes walk.
The sportsmen can enjoy the hockey stadium, futball stadium, several gyms, National tenis center, swimming pools including an open-air pool with tobogans, all up to 10 minutes walk.
There is a primary school, international school, kindergarden and a large public children playground without necessity to cross a busy road.
